Part 2

I opened one eye at a time. *Blink* *Blink*. My eyes opened wide. I had just realized something important. I was no longer sick and...

"Where is my shell?!" I shouted while sitting up. I started looking around, not realizing where I was. Then it hit me. My shell was in my room. I was not in my room. That was why I couldn't find it. I sighed. My poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor, but wonderful, poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor poor shell. It’s all alone in my room, my beautiful shell. I started to think. ‘OH LAMENTABLE DAY! Such pains it must feel, being locked away unable to reach me! Oh the suffering!’ All of a sudden, my mind was interrupted.

"Stupid. No wonder you're in an asylum!" said a voice in my head.

“Are you my conscience?" I asked out loud.

"Hn. Baka." The voice replied out loud. I looked around and saw three teenagers in the doorway. One was short with hair that somehow reminded me of an animal I had seen in a book. The animal was black and white and smelled like some nasty, unnamed…it just smelled nasty. I think it was called a skunk. Anyways, the boy was short and had spiked black hair with white streaks near the front. His eyes were red.

The second by was tall with long, red, hair (almost as beautiful as mine) and had pretty, green, eyes.

The third one had brown hair and was about the same height as the red head. He had 'JR' written on his forehead. ‘What type of person does that? He must be a new member of the asylum.’ I thought. ‘Even I don’t write on my head.’

I recalled the voice inside my head just before I had previously noticed the boys. ‘If the voice wasn't my conscience, then someone must have read my mind. Grrr…I LIKE MY PRIVACY! I felt my body getting hotter from the anger building up inside me, but didn't pay any attention to it. I assumed that I was just getting stressed about the idea of someone reading my mind. I'd have never thought that it might be flames. Anyways, back on track. I glared angrily.

"If he was your conscience, then you would be truly mad." The red head said, replying to my previous question. Was he saying that I was mad in the first place? I kept quiet, but my body just got hotter. The three stared like I was actually on fire.

"Which one of you was reading my mind?" I growled. ‘Evil people. No one has ever tried to read my mind except once. The results from that were very satisfactory. The one that had tried happened to spontaneously combust.’ I remembered that and smiled. So did the small man. His was very evil.

"Did he really burn up? Then I had better watch out." He said sarcastically. That just made me madder, as he was making fun of me. My body was getting to an unbearable amount of heat. It took a lot just to keep awake. I just stared at the small man with a powerful glare. You might say that I had been shooting daggers, literally. They were daggers of flame.

"EVIL, SHORT, MAN! YOU MUST DIE!" I screamed at him. No one ever ticked me off in such a long time. I noticed the brown haired man was staring. He said something to the red head. He obviously thought I couldn't hear him. Baka. My flames died quickly, but I didn’t pay much attention.

"Kurama," The boy with ‘Jr’ written on his forehead began.

‘So that was the red heads name.’ I thought.

"I have never seen her here before. I am sure. I see all the rooms every year. The owner has shown me every single one of them." The brown haired boy continued.

"She must be new then."

"Her records don't say so. She has been here all her life." He showed the red head a file he had picked up from a table next to my bed.

"Maybe she was hidden from you. They could have easily put an illusion on the door to her room. I think it would be wise to check it out. Also, she looks human, but her flames and energy say otherwise. Can you see different the spirit energy that is swirling throughout her aura? It looks like it might be keeping part of her locked up. I think we might learn more if we saw her room." He said and I butted in.

"What do you mean by spirit energy? Does this mean I am possessed? Why do you want to see my room?" I asked. My anger diminished. Mood swings can happen at the oddest times. The red head, Kurama, I think it was, sounded very nice.

"We just want to know you a little better." Kurama said.

"That’s very nice, but I'm sorry, you can't see my room." I replied.

"We can see it if we want to baka." I looked at him angry again.

"STOP CALLING ME AN IDIOT! I AM A MORON! NOT IDIOT! MO-RON! Say it with me!” I let them soak it in. “By the way, my name is-" I paused, remembering I didn’t have one. "Just call me Fox." The three of them looked at each other. "And, you can't see my rooms. I mean it literally."

"We could if I asked." The brown haired man said.

"That isn't it. You can't see them. Only trained eyes can. I wasn't supposed to know that, but I heard 'them' talking. If you can't see the room, then you can't get in. You have to know what to look for."

"Are you sure? If so, my assumption was right, you are being hidden. Despite what you said, I would still like to try to 'see' your room." Kurama said kindly.

"I guess. Come on, I'll show you." I said about to get out of the bed.

"But aren't you sick?"

"Don't worry! The effect should have worn off-" I said realizing I blew my cover. "Oops!"

"Effects?" Brown haired boy asked. I remained silent. Of course I couldn't say.

"She took a poison Koenma- one that she had made herself." Hiei said coldly. I glared at him with annoyance and anger. I stared as his robe caught fire. He quickly put it out before Koenma saw. He glared back. "She also, clearly, needs to be trained."

Kurama smiled. "Yes, I can see that. Now, about that poison, I would like to know what it was."

"I don’t know.” I shrugged. “And what's with the 'needs to be trained'? I am quite potty trained for your information and have been so for years.” I said while they looked at me like I was a crazed loony.

"So you made a poison without knowing what it was? Then you drank it?" Koenma asked ignoring what I had said. Kurama still looked at me like I was one of the biggest idiots on the planet and Hiei decided once and for all, that I was indeed a loony. I ignored them.

"It's not like that. I knew what it could do, but I don't have a name for it." Names… I felt like everything had one but me. "They are in my room."

"They? As in more than one? Since when do asylums let their patients make poisons?!" Kurama asked. ‘Evil man.’ I thought. ‘He’s making me say more than I intended to say.’

"I would show you, but first you must do something for me." I answered.

"What?" Kurama asked.

"Don't tell him."

"Who?"

"Well, do you know the muffin man?"

"I am afraid not."

"Well, do you know Mr. Ihateallwhodontluvfluffyteddybears?"

"No" Kurama said. Hiei looked at me like I couldn't get any crazier. Koenma nodded.

"He runs the building." He said. Kurama and Hiei stared at him. This was funny. Let them think I was a loony. I didn't care. The expressions were far too funny. ‘I should do this more often…’

"That's him." Then feeling like being a sane person again, I climbed out of my bed and walked over towards them. "Come on." I said leaving the room. "It's this way.
